Cash Register Interfaces
CASIO Interface Modules

CASIO Interfaces connect to the target register and convert the slip printer data to the RS-232 format compatible with the VSI or VSI+. Includes interface to register cabling and connectors.

PIM Interface

PS-100 Parallel to Serial Converter

The PS-100 coverts low speed parallel data to serial data and sends the data out through the RS-232 port to the VSI+ text converter which overlays this data on the video.

B-2-RS NCR-7052/7054
Customer Display Interface

The B-2-RS reads the bit streams sent from the register to the LCD Customer Display and sends this formatted data out through the RS-232 port to the VSI+ text inserter. This model is for NCR-7052 registers which use a 20 x 20 LCD Display, Model F061.

N-2-RS TEC Slip Printer Interface

The N-2-RS Interface connects to the external slip printer port of the following machines: TEC 135, 136, 141, 190, 191, 230, 290. The cable assembly from register to the interface, and a power supply are supplied with the unit. If a remote slip printer is used, an additional "Y" cable is necessary.

P-2-RS Parallel to Serial Converter

The P-2-RS coverts high speed parallel data to serial data and sends the data out through the RS-232 port to the VSI+ text converter which overlays this data onto video.

SAS2RS

The SAS2RS interface taps the SAS loop of the Nixdorf Pos 2000/2010 terminal. The unit reads the data going to the monitor and converts the high speed inter-register communication network to RS-232 format. This data is then fed to a standard VSI+ for overlay into the video picture. For SAS loops of other Nixdorf registers or ATM's, AVE has a special data dump module which can evaluate these loops for compatibility.

NCR-2-RS NCR-2760 Slip or Journal Printer Interface

The NCR-2-RS is used with the NCR-2760 register in one of two ways: TAP or EMULATION. In the Tap-mode, a "Y" cable is used to tap the data from the Slip or receipt printer, format the data and send it out of the RS-232 port to the VSI+ text inserter or standard RS-232 printer.

In the Emulate mode, an Emulation cable is connected to External Port 2 of the NCR-2760 and the NCR-2-RS emulates the operation of the journal printer and sends the RS-232 data to the VSI+ text inserter or serial printer.

CR-802 Epson Printer Interface
The CR-802 register interface connects between the 31 conductor flex cable of the internal Epson CR-802 or CR-812/A, 10 column wheel printer and the motherboard. The printer data is then converted to RS-232 data for the VSI or a serial printer.

CR-803 Epson Printer Interface

The CR-803 register interface connects between the cable of the internal Epson CR-803 or CR-813/A, 10 column wheel printer and the motherboard. The printer data is then converted to RS-232 data for the VSI or a serial printer. Casio TK-700/710 only.

CR-804 Epson Printer Interface

The CR-804 register interface connects between the cable of the internal Epson CR-804 printer and the motherboard. The printer data is then converted to RS-232 data for the VSI or a serial printer.

CR-910 Epson Printer Interface

The CR-910 register interface connects between the 38 conductor flex cable of the internal Epson CR-910 or CR-911, 12 column wheel printer and the motherboard. The printer data is then converted to RS-232 data for the VSI or a serial printer.

CR-220 Epson Printer Interface

The CR-220 interfaces between an Epson 220/222/223 dot matrix printer's 31 conductor flex cable and the cash register motherboard. These boards are register specific, which means we have several versions of the same board, but configured with the proper connectors for your particular register.

CR-222 Printer Interface

The CR-222 interfaces to many different types of Dot matrix printers. The printer data is converted to RS-232 for the VSI+ or the serial printer.

LP-701 Epson Printer Interface

The LP-701 register interface connects between the cables of the internal Epson LP-701 printer and the motherboard. The printer data is then converted to RS-232 data for the VSI or a serial printer.

LP-704 Epson Printer Interface

The LP-704 register interface connects between the cables of the internal Epson LP-704 printer and the motherboard. The printer data is then converted to RS-232 data for the VSI or a serial printer.

RTC2RS

The RTC2RS is an external memory storage unit with a printer controller and Time Date clock. The unit has a DB-9 for data output and a DB-25 for data input. The device must be programmed by a PC or some RS-232 communicating device to set the T/D and operation parameters. Some setting are via internal dip switches and jumpers.

Features:

  • Time Date Clock locks to incoming T/D string from register or computer
  • Appends T/D to incoming exceptions for T/D Stamping
  • Exception buffering up to 32K SRAM for approximately 200 exceptions
  • Handshaking for direct connect to Auto Answer modem for exception downloading.

RTC2RS as a Dscope

The RTC2RS can be configured as a two channel asynchronous Data Scope. The Dscope can monitor two simultaneous data streams of RS-232, RS-485 or RS-422. A PC must be used to monitor and recover the independent channels fro the single data stream output of the Dscope. This device is mainly used as a tool to gather data from new devices in the field for AVE to develop Cash Register interfaces.
